BOZEMAN, Mont. — A Denver-based company is on its way to Bozeman. The Montana State University Innovation Campus hosted a groundbreaking for its new facility on Friday.
“We’ve been working on this project for over five years, trying to entice a company like Industry to come and build on the campus to solve some pretty significant workforce development space needs,” Bozeman director of economic development Brit Fontenot said.
Industry Bozeman will feature 61,000 square feet of office spaces. It’s an estimated $30 million project that will take about a year to build.
It’s not just Industry Bozeman coming to the MSU Innovation Campus.
We told you earlier this month the self-driving car company Aurora announced a new facility on the campus.
Hyundai Motor Group also announced plans to open a New Horizons Studio headquarters in Bozeman. That facility is estimated to create over 50 jobs in the area.
“This is a great opportunity for our students who come to Montana State to fulfill their education, but hopefully what we want to do is for them to complete their education and end with a job in hand as well,” MSU President Waded Cruzado said.
The goal of MSU Innovation Campus is to create opportunities for companies to collaborate with the university.
Once completed, the campus will be home to more than a half-million square feet of technology, office and biotech facilities.
