Barnes & Noble bookstore has signed a lease at The Shops at Stonebridge, a new mixed-use development in Cheshire.
Charter Realty announced Tuesday that the bookseller will occupy 18,000 square feet, along with other retail tenants Whole Foods Market, TJ Maxx and Chipotle.
The retail component of the new development is now more than 85% pre-leased, Charter officials said.
Charter Realty represented the landlord, Regency Centers, in the transaction, while AZ Consulting represented the tenant, Barnes & Noble.
Stonebridge Crossing is a 107-acre, mixed-use project that blends retail, office, hotel and more than 300 residential units just off Interstate 691.
Daniel Zelson, principal of Charter Realty, said signing a lease with Barnes & Noble “will further solidify the center as a premier destination in the region.”
