Charter Realty & Development is pleased to announce it has leased 25,596 square feet for an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Yonkers, NY. The cinema will be located at 2500 Central Park Avenue in the Yonkers Gateway Center. Yonkers is the fourth largest city in the State of New York (it falls behind New York City, Buffalo, and Rochester), and the largest city in Westchester County. Alamo will be occupying the former United Artists Theater – Regal Cinema with Co-Tenants such as Best Buy, Burlington Coat Factory, GAP, Nine West, Starbucks, DSW Shoe Warehouse and more.
The typical Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has four to eight screens that resemble traditional movie theaters except rows of seats alternate with bench-style tables. The Drafthouse offers a unique combination of theater and restaurant by providing its customers with in-theater food and beverage service. The menu includes freshly prepared appetizers, sandwiches, pizzas and salads as well as a wide selection of hand crafted beers and fine wines. First-come, first-serve seating begins approximately 45 minutes prior to show time. Customers are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the pre-show entertainment where a variety of short films are shown that change on a regular basis, some with tie-ins to the feature film.
